It was easy to come to the conclusion that the critical mass theory has had a positive impact on the success of the TV, cell phone, and computers. When it comes to the TV, we have to consider communication channels, which refer to the rate and degree that people, talk about and spread the news about the innovations. When we watch TV, another person becomes involved because their attitude about the innovation which at some point influences their decision to accept or reject the innovation. When we thought about the influence of critical mass theory on video games and cells phones we were stuck for a moment because we almost felt that according to the 5-step process it could go either way. Finally we decided that the theory has a positive influence on computers and cell phones. When we focus on the 5-step process when looking at the Innovation Adoption Rate by the time most people find out about a new cell phone or brand computer (ipad) . Next they have to decide if they like it or not and if it’s worth purchasing. Finally a decision is made. So overall after doing some research we’ve come to the conclusion that critical mass theory has influenced the success of TV, cell phone and computers.
